Collection: Cashew Putharekulu

Cashew Putharekulu is a true icon of South Indian confectionery art, hailing from the village of Atreyapuram in Andhra Pradesh. Affectionately known as the "paper sweet," its creation is a masterclass in culinary patience. Artisans deftly smear a unique, ultra-thin rice batter onto hot, inverted clay pots, baking micro-thin sheets that are as delicate as gossamer. These translucent layers are then meticulously folded with a generous brushing of aromatic pure ghee, a heavy dusting of fine sugar or rich jaggery, and an abundance of finely crushed, premium cashew granules.
